Wonderful view over old Cario, Egypt Cairo is a colourful, bustling city steeped in history and home to the world’s most famous monument, the Pyramids. It is also a living, breathing city with many wonderful sites to see, including museums, parks and mazy bazaars. This short break will give you an excellent taster of the many delights Cairo has to offer, and undoubtedly leave you wanting to explore more of Egypt.
We begin in Cairo where we take time to visit the Great Pyramids of Gisa, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and the nearby ancient and enigmatic Sphinx. We also visit the sprawling site at Saqqara, which is home to Zoser’s world famous step-pyramid. We have plenty of time to explore the city’s many interesting sites, including stunning mosques, fascinating museums and sprawling bazaars. We also enjoy a 5-star evening dinner cruise on the Nile accompanied by traditional song and dance. We have a little time for some last minute shopping and sightseeing before our tour ends.
