UNCOVER THE WORLD - TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel Insurance is compulsory on all of our tours, and Uncover the World offers its own Travel Insurance policies to UK residents through its membership with the Travel Trust Association.
We are not able to offer travel insurance policies to non-UK residents, or to anyone not booking one of our tours. Non-UK residents can check our partners at WorldwideInsure for suitable policies (EU residents / Worldwide residents).
Please contact us if you would like any more information or are unsure about how to arrange travel insurance if you are not a UK resident.
All of our tour prices also include a Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan for your financial protection - please see our Financial Security page for details.
If you do not choose to purchase Travel Insurance from Uncover the World, then you must ensure that your insurance provides equivalent cover appropriate for the activities included in the tour. You must provide us with the details of your insurer and your policy number before departure (if you do not provide us with these details, then you will not be allowed to join the tour, and no refund will be due).
Should you wish to purchase Uncover the World Travel Insurance, you can add this as an option, or make a note of your requirements when you complete the online tour reservation form. We will then confirm the appropriate quote for your holiday. Payments for your travel insurance should ideally be made with your deposit to ensure you have cancellation cover in place.
Cover Details:
We offer three different levels of cover - Silver, Gold and Platinum. Please check the Cover Details below for more information.
Your insurance must cover you for the following (included in our Silver level):
- Medical Expenses & Repatriation
- Personal Accident & Liability
We also strongly recommend that you obtain cover for the following (included in Gold and/or Platinum levels):
- Cancellation & Curtailment
- Personal Effects, Baggage & Money
- Travel Delays, Abandonment & Missed Departure
Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered.
Our travel insurance policies do not cover any pre-existing medical conditions. If you have such a condition, then you can still purchase a normal policy from us, and then contact our medical pre-screening company Bishopscourt on 08712 085 544, to obtain and extra quote to cover your pre-existing medical condition.

Activities:
Our policy is designed to fit as many of our holidays as possible, and does cover:
- snorkelling & scuba-diving to 30m (supervised)
- white-water rafting up to Class IV rapids
- walking & trekking up to 2,000m
Note: Our insurance
does not cover the altitudes gained on some of our
trekking tours. Please check the tour factsheet for details of the maximum altitude gained on your trek. We are happy to recommend our partners at
WorldwideInsure for policies to cover trekking over 2,000m (
UK residents /
EU residents /
Worldwide residents). Their normal policy covers trekking up to 4,000m, with extra supplements if you will travel up to 5,000m or 6,000m.
Regions & Prices:
We have three different Regions for our travel insurance. These are 'Europe', 'Worldwide', and 'Australia & New Zealand'.
Our '
Europe' policies include cover for Egypt and Turkey. However, if you are visiting Jordan as part of a mainly Egyptian tour, you will need a '
Worldwide' policy.
